Pacific Nations Cup 2024 - A New Era in Rugby Competitiveness
The Pacific Nations Cup will be a marvellous event on the Rugby calendar in 2024, marking a significant evolution of its format and global reach. New Format and Structure Pacific Nations Cup 2024
In the revamped Pacific Nations Cup participating teams are split into two regional pools each containing three sides. Pool A includes Fiji, Samoa and Tonga while pool B encompasses Canada, Japan and USA. This arrangement seeks to cut down travel fatigue as well as minimize world rugby’s carbon footprint which is in line with its environmental sustainability goals.
Each team is guaranteed at least three matches including having one home game at minimum. This also enhances fan engagement locally in terms of developing sport in these regions alongside commercial opportunities available. By creating competitive rivalries like those seen in Six Nations and Rugby Championship tournaments; it thus gives teams something to look forward to during this season hence provides consistency and quality fixtures list for them.
