Cheese Your Way Through Vienna

Cheese Your Way Through Vienna!

Hey, travel buffs! Are you tired of the same old team-building exercises? You know, the ones that feel more like a dentist appointment than an adventure? Well, we’ve got just the thing to spice things up: a hilarious cheese-tasting extravaganza in the heart of Vienna!

Imagine this: you and your colleagues embark on a journey through Vienna’s charming streets, armed with nothing but a map and a serious hunger for cheese. As you wind through the city, you’ll pop into cozy local cheese shops, where you’ll be greeted by friendly cheesemongers who know their Gouda from their Grana Padano.

Need assistance with groups and incentives in Vienna? Contact us!

What’s the plan?

  • Cheese-tasting Challenge: Compete in a cheese-tasting showdown! Who can guess the most types of cheese while trying not to drool all over the samples? May the best cheesehead win!
  • Local Pairings: Learn how to pair your cheesy finds with some fabulous local wines. Spoiler alert: you might discover your new favorite pairing (wine and cheese always wins).
  • Cheesy Puns Galore: Prepare for some terrible (but delightful) cheese jokes along the way. Did you hear about the cheese factory explosion? There was nothing left but de-brie! (Okay, maybe that was too cheesy...)

And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, we’ll finish off with a charming canal-side dinner, where you can share your newfound cheese wisdom and laugh about who almost mistook blue cheese for soap (don’t worry, it happens to the best of us).

So, ready to embrace your inner cheese enthusiast and bond with your team over the finest dairy delights Vienna has to offer? Let’s make this an experience you won’t forget—unless you eat too much cheese, then good luck remembering anything!

Let’s Cheese Your Way Through Vienna!

Cosy Vienna Christmas Markets Await You

Imagine this: Vienna is sparkling with fairy lights, the smell of mulled wine fills the crisp air, and the sound of carolers is just a bit more charming than your usual holiday playlist. Welcome to the Vienna Christmas markets, where holiday magic practically hangs in the air—along with a good amount of snow (and maybe a little bit of roasted chestnut smoke).

Need assistance with your groups and incentives in Vienna? Contact us!

First stop? The Christkindlmarkt at Rathausplatz, Vienna’s holiday HQ. Grab a warm mug of Glühwein (your hands will thank you), and stroll around munching on gingerbread so fresh it might have ruined you for regular cookies. Then wander over to Spittelberg for cozy vibes and artisanal stalls, perfect for picking up gifts that look like you spent way more time planning than you actually did.

And there’s more than just shopping and snacking here. Vienna’s markets are full of surprises—think private tastings, crafting workshops, and the chance to learn holiday traditions that make your family’s version of “festive” seem like amateur hour.

So, bundle up in your cosiest scarf, bring along your best holiday spirit (with an extra shot of cheer), and prepare for some unforgettable moments. Vienna’s Christmas markets aren’t just a holiday stop—they’re a full embrace of the wonderfully chaotic, festive season, done the Viennese way.

And it’s not just the markets that bring the magic—Vienna itself turns into a real-life snow globe! Every street sparkles, holiday tunes float from every corner, and café windows beckon with hot chocolate that could *actually* change your life. You can even hop in a horse-drawn carriage and take a ride through the glittering city like you’re in some epic holiday movie. By the time you leave, you’ll be singing carols and craving gingerbread till next December.

What are you waiting for? Cosy Vienna Christmas Markets Await You!

Ice skating adventure in Vienna

Ice skating adventure in Vienna - Get Ready to Slip, Slide, and (Hopefully) Not Faceplant in Vienna!

Vienna’s winter wonderland awaits, and guess what? You’re invited to join the epic ice-skating adventure of a lifetime by your DMC in Vienna. Whether you’re a pro gliding like a swan or someone who wobbles like a baby deer on ice, there’s something here for everyone. Let’s be real—who doesn’t want to take part in a day where you have an equal chance of graceful spins or an Instagram-worthy tumble?

Here’s What’s on the Ice-Capades Menu:

1. Ice Skating adventure in Vienna (aka Graceful Gliding, or Let’s Hope You Brought Padding)
Channel your inner Olympian as you skate across Vienna’s picturesque rinks. Feel the cool breeze as you (attempt to) glide effortlessly. For beginners? Don’t worry, it’s just you, the ice, and gravity—what could go wrong? For the pros, show off those spins and try not to look too smug while the rest of us cling to the railings.

2. Eisstockschießen (Translation: Curling’s Fun Cousin with a Fancy Name)
Never heard of it? That’s because it’s one of those cool Austrian secrets! It’s like curling but with less brushing and more throwing. The best part? No one knows the rules, so you can just shout “strategy” a lot and look like you’re doing something brilliant.

3. Ice Hockey Tournament (Because Nothing Says ‘Winter Fun’ Like Chasing a Puck While Wearing Armor)
Think you can handle the fast-paced world of ice hockey? Perfect! Now imagine doing it with extra wobbly skates, while your friends laugh hysterically as they (unsuccessfully) try to stop the puck. We’ll provide helmets, sticks, and maybe a referee if things get too competitive. Just remember, it’s all in the name of fun—no need to check someone into the boards, okay?

What’s Included (Besides Unlimited Laughter):

  • Skate Rentals: For when you realize you definitely don’t own ice skates and need all the help you can get.
  • Eisstockschießen Gear: Trust us, you’ll want to try this… because how else are you going to brag about mastering a sport no one back home has heard of?
  • Ice Hockey Gear: Yes, helmets are a requirement. We like fun, not concussions.

Highlights (In Case You’re Still Wondering if This is a Good Idea):

  • Skating in the heart of Vienna, with charming locals who have definitely been doing this longer than you.
  • The chance to say you played Eisstockschießen without even knowing how to spell it!
  • Ice hockey for those brave enough to think they’re the next Wayne Gretzky (spoiler: you’re not, but it’s fun to pretend).
  • No experience required—just a healthy sense of humor, good balance (or not), and maybe a backup plan if you end up hugging the ice more than skating on it.

So, lace up those skates, bring your best "I'm trying" attitude, and join us for a frosty, fun-filled day where you’ll probably spend more time laughing than skating!

Air India Summer 2025 Expansion

Air India Summer 2025 Expansion: More Flights, Fancier Planes, and a Few Temporary Goodbyes

If you thought Air India already had enough flights crisscrossing the globe, guess what? They disagree. So, for Summer 2025, they’re throwing even more planes into the mix, expanding across the UK, Europe, Asia, and Africa like an airline that just realized its frequent flyers have serious travel addiction.

Starting March 30, 2025, Air India is upping its flight game, rolling out aircraft upgrades, and—because every airline loves a plot twist—temporarily suspending a couple of routes. Buckle up; here’s what’s coming your way.

Need assistance with groups and incentives in Europe? Contact one of our fantastic DMCs.

More Flights, More Fun (or at Least More Legroom in Some Cases)

UK: Because One London Flight is Never Enough

  • Out of Delhi, the number of flights to London Heathrow is increasing from 21 to 24 each week, which is pretty insane.
  • Amritsar–Birmingham goes from 3 to 4 weekly flights, so more people can experience the thrill of explaining Punjabi food to confused Brits.
  • From Amritsar, the flights to London Gatwick are rising from 3 to 4 flights a week, which is great.
  • Ahmedabad–London Gatwick rises from 3 to 5 weekly flights. Yes, that’s two extra chances a week to land at Gatwick and immediately wish you were at Heathrow.

Europe: Why Not Viste Vienna or The Himalayas After All?

  • Delhi–Zurich now has 4 to 5 weekly flights, an increase of a single Swiss chocolate bar taken from duty-free.
  • Delhi–Vienna now operates 3 to 4 weekly flights, so there’s no reason not to visit Austria on weekends.

Asia: Bigger Planes, More Drama

  • Delhi–Seoul (Incheon) has increased flights from four to five a week. Perfect for anyone wanting to full K-drama.
  • Delhi–Hong Kong has been upgraded from an A321 to better seats on a Dreamliner with seven weekly flights. This means less crying babies and more free tickets.

Africa: Let's Visit More Inspiring Places Like Nairobi

  • Delhi–Nairobi  increased flights from 3 to 4 a week since everyone knows direct flights to safaris make everything more fun.
Fancier Planes, Finally!

Air India’s fleet upgrade is finally happening (no, really), and the first Boeing 787 with brand-new seats and updated entertainment systems rolls out in October 2025. The Boeing 777 fleet? Well, that’s getting pushed to early 2026—because if there’s one thing Boeing is consistent at, it’s delays.

A few routes are going on a temporary holiday:

Melbourne look away, Mumbai’s flight is suspended from March 30 until September 13, 2025. It would be unfair to assume that Australians travel that much don't take it personally.

Kochi has completely paused towards London Gatwick since March 30, without a return date available. But don’t panic. Amritsar, Ahmedabad, and Goa will continue to serve London Gatwick with 12 flights a week.

Air India Summer 2025 Expansion

So there you have it. More flights, shinier planes, and just a couple of unavoidable cancellations. If you’re flying Air India this summer, expect more options, a few new aircraft, and—if you’re really lucky—an entertainment system that actually works.

Vienna Airport focus on Southern Asia

Vienna Airport focus on Southern Asia

Bringing the world to Austria, one boarding pass at a time

Vienna International Airport (VIE) is working earnestly to ensure that Austria is the best ‘accidental vacation’ that people never planned for. The airport saw an increase in passenger count with a whopping 31.7 million people traveling through it in 2024, that is a 7.4% increase from last year. That figure warrants growth in the region's economic opportunities, so the airport is broadening its routes, particularly to Southern Asia.

This means more long-haul options, new connections, and even bigger excuses to "accidentally" miss your return flight home because Vienna was just too good to leave.

More Flights, More Destinations, More Reasons to Pack

Some of the newest flight additions include:

  • Hainan Airlines is making China-Vienna trips even easier, with Shenzhen (SZX) back in action and Chengdu (CTU) now a three-times-weekly option. More pandas, more dumplings, more reasons to go.
  • ANA (All Nippon Airways) has resumed year-round service to Tokyo (NRT)—because why fly near Japan when you can fly direct?
  • Scoot, the budget-friendly sidekick of Singapore Airlines, is launching a three-times-weekly route to Singapore (SIN) in June 2025. If you ever wanted to hop from schnitzel to satay in record time, this is your chance.

And it’s not just Asia getting the love. The Middle East and Europe are also seeing some serious upgrades:

  • SKY Express launched a four-times-weekly Athens (ATH) service—because nothing says "vacation goals" like deciding between Greek islands or Austrian Alps.
  • Air Arabia now flies to Sharjah (SHJ) four times a week, proving that "weekend escape" can mean a whole new continent.
  • EasyJet is launching a daily Milan (MXP) route in March 2025, because fashion and espresso emergencies should never be delayed.
More Space, Fewer Security Line Jitters

To keep up with the growing crowds, Vienna Airport is dropping €420 million (roughly $428 million) on a South Terminal expansion set to open in 2027. Expect:

Faster security screening (so you can spend more time shopping and less time awkwardly hopping on one foot to remove your shoes).
Larger waiting areas, because somebody is always hogging the charging station.
Better amenities, meaning more options for that pre-flight pretzel and last-minute souvenir panic buy.

Where Vienna Wants to Fly Next

Vienna is dreaming big, and there are still plenty of unserved routes waiting to be filled. The airport has its sights on destinations like:

North America: Miami (MIA), San Francisco (SFO)
Asia-Pacific: Hanoi (HAN), Mumbai (BOM), Hong Kong (HKG), Phuket (HKT)
South America: São Paulo (GRU)
Middle East & Africa: Muscat (MCT), Nairobi (NBO)
Europe: Bergen (BGO), Gdansk (GDN), Toulouse (TLS), Bordeaux (BOD)

Translation? If you’ve been dreaming about one of these destinations, start hoping your favourite airline takes the hint.

The Future Is Looking Bright (and Full of Boarding Passes)

Vienna International Airport expects another successful year in 2025 fueled by a broadening flight network, unprecedented increase in passenger numbers, and substantial infrastructure investment. Passengers can expect a lot from Vienna, and whether they are flying in, out or “unfortunately” missing their flight, it is clear that the city is aiming to improve the experience of everyone partaking in its tourism.

Vienna Airport focus on Southern Asia

But first, who is up for a Schnitzel before takeoff?

Austrian Airlines expands Finland winter routes

Austrian Airlines expands Finland winter routes

Austrian Airlines is taking its winter game up a notch by launching flights to Ivalo, because apparently, Rovaniemi and Kittilä weren’t quite north enough. On January 25, 2025, the airline’s inaugural flight from Vienna touched down in Finland’s northernmost airport, officially making it easier than ever to swap schnitzel for snow-covered adventures.

Need assistance with groups and incentives in Finland? Contact us!

Why Ivalo?

If you think Finland has to offer only Santa and saunas, then Ivalo will prove you wrong. It has unlimited snowboarding routes, captivating aurora safaris, and the opportunity to see a reindeer up close—or at least appreciate one from far. Perfect for anyone who thinks winter should be welcomed not evaded, it is the ultimate Arctic getaway.

Weekly Flights for Winter Thrill-Seekers

Austrian Airlines will run weekly Saturday flights until early March, ensuring that winter sports lovers, aurora chasers, and anyone in need of a proper snow fix can get their Arctic adventure on.

Austrian Airlines expands Finland winter routes

So, if your ideal winter involves less city stress and more snow-covered magic, it might be time to book that ticket. Ivalo is calling—and now, Vienna has the perfect answer!

Flights to Tel Aviv

Flights to Tel Aviv: European Airlines Excell While Us Carriers Apply Brakes

The Tel Aviv flights split between two continents when considering how to arrive to Israel. While the American carriers Delta, United, and American Airlines are canceling routes to Tel Aviv due to constant regional fears, the European carriers are rolling out the red carpet. Travelers can expect expanded schedules and low-priced options to fly to the sunny beaches of Israel in 2025.

Are you looking for assistance with groups and incentive plans for Isreal? Feel free to get in touch.

A Star Carriers – Continuing Long Suspend BA Flights

It is not easy for US Airlines to fly to Israel. While Delta and United have plans to continue flights to US, the rest of the operation is decided on a wait and see strategy, so all flights to Tel Aviv are on hold. On the other hand, American Airlines has taken a more extreme approach, as they do not have any flight plans to Israel at all, and have no intention of starting any plans soon.

What required this report are all the American Travelers. There are not enough direct flight options, and the remaining options involve complex itinieraries. But don’t worry, European hubs are here to save the day.

Good News Brace Yourself For: Expanded Flight Options.

On the other side of the pond, airlines are expanding their reach while U.S. Majors take a cautious approach. Here are the developments you can look forward to:

Lufthansa commences service with a daily frequency from Frankfurt and Munich from February 1. That’s right gents, you can now start your travel with a bratwurst and end with a falafel.

Swiss International Air Lines is now providing more than just mouth watering attractions, with daily connections to Zurich they ensure your Swiss chocolate has to extend beyond the aviation hubs.

Austrian Airlines will operate with a daily frequency to Vienna as who would not want a schnitzel stop over.

Brussels Airlines is now introducing three weekly flights and Eurowings now provides connectivity from Düsseldorf to Tel Aviv twice weekly.

And prehaps you are a traveller on a sensative budget, Wizz Air and Ryanair are here to deliver with the their incredibly low cost travel suits promising even more travel routes along with reasonable sway for the most active summer season.

Ben Gurion Airport: Pre Spring Modesty

Overseas and even within the major Tel Aviv airport, the month of January and February remains a tad idle for the 50,000 passengers to and fro and 300 international flights. There is however a major surge expected in the coming months as spring settles in.

As European carriers are expanding their operations, expect your journey to Israel to be more convenient with more options available to you. Whether it’s travel for business, leisure, or both, a European hub is always available to facilitate your journey.

What This Means for U.S. Travellers

If you are in the US and are looking to visit Tel Aviv, then here is a step by step strategy for you:

  • Learn to Accept Layovers: Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, and Vienna are the new major hubs. These should be treated as mini trips before you finally reach your destination.
  • Look into Budget Options: While Wizz Air and Ryanair are not going to be the most luxurious options, they are certainly going to be cheaper.
  • Have Patience: Direct flights from the US to your intended destination are currently unavailable, meaning you will have to travel in a more scenic manner.
The Big Picture

Even though US carriers have not fully embraced this change, European airlines are starting to show that demand whenever it may arise, is a runway. An increase in connectivity in the upcoming months presents new opportunities for travel as they increase within Telaviv and beyond.

So, whether you’re purchasing a Lufthansa overseas ticket or searching for a Ryanair discount, there is one thing obvious: Israeli aviation is alive, and European carriers are at the fore. And as for U.S. airlines, well… they are a bit late to the party, let’s put it that way.

A Big Celebration, Because Why Not?

To mark this monumental launch, celebrations were held at both Sharjah and Vienna airports. And when we say "celebration," we mean the whole shebang: dignitaries, balloons, and even the Austrian Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Etienne Berchtold, gracing the event alongside the bigwigs at Air Arabia. It was basically the European equivalent of hitting the "easy button" on a vacation!

What to Expect? A Smooth Ride (and Snacks)

The new route will operate four times a week—because who doesn't need a quick trip to Vienna every now and then? Air Arabia is flying their Airbus A320s, which come fully equipped with free in-flight streaming (so you can binge-watch a show while dreaming of your next pastry) and an affordable onboard menu that makes you wonder why all planes don’t come with snacks that don’t cost your life savings.

Words of Wisdom from the Big Guys

Adel Al Ali, Air Arabia’s CEO, took the opportunity to remind us all that the airline is all about offering affordable travel options—because, let’s face it, who doesn’t love a budget-friendly getaway, especially when you can experience Vienna without breaking the bank? Meanwhile, Vienna Airport CEO Julian Jäger chimed in with his excitement about the route's appeal to leisure and transit passengers—because why not take in the beauty of Vienna before flying off to your next adventure?

Why This Matters More Than Just the Cake

This new route marks a major step in Air Arabia’s European expansion, and it’s a perfect excuse to grab your friends and go explore Vienna's coffee culture, imperial palaces, and—of course—its world-famous pastries. And hey, Sharjah and Vienna aren’t exactly next-door neighbors, so this nonstop flight is kind of a big deal in making international travel more convenient (and delicious).
