Emirates Unveils Partnership with Wimbledon -
Emirates has announced a partnership with Wimbledon, making it the official airline partner for the first time in history. The collaboration will see the airliner introduce an extraordinary Airbus A380 “Wimbledon” livery and unique inflight services during the tournament from 1-14 July.
Main features Emirates Unveils Partnership with Wimbledon:
- One-of-a-kind A380 Livery: This week Emirates revealed a specially designed A380 livery featuring the Wimbledon logo and player silhouettes on its fuselage. The plane will make its debut on a flight to London Heathrow on 1 July and fly other routes including Manchester, Washington D.C., Paris among others.
- Inflight Experience: On flights bound for the UK in July, passengers can enjoy various Wimbledon-themed treats. First and Business Class passengers will be offered pastries, strawberries & cream as well as lemon strawberry cupcakes decorated with the Wimbledon logo whilst those travelling in Economy or Premium Economy class may choose from cream cheese mousse or strawberry cheesecake.
- Ground Activities: At All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), Emirates will set up interactive experiences at their “Emirates Experience” stand where visitors can participate in giveaways with a chance to win holidays to Dubai; younger fans can also engage with Emirates-branded “Wimbleworld” on Roblox.
- Live Coverage: In its lounges and on ice (its in-flight entertainment system) Emirates will provide live coverage of Wimbledon matches.
Emirates currently operates 133 flights every week into seven gateways across UK and from 4 November 2024 they will resume daily A350 service to Edinburgh.
