Toward the qualifying FIBA Asia Cup 2025, there is a list of 24 teams which will go through a strict qualification process. The teams are separated into six groups of four. Only the top two teams from the groups will move on to the final tournament. The other third tier teams will have further eliminatory qualifying rounds to earn the last four spots. As a host country, Saudi Arabia automatically qualifies, but had to go through the qualifying rounds as well.

Basketball heavyweights Australia, China, Iran, and the Philippines are part of the team which already qualified and claimed their spots. New entrants like Mongolia and Guam have also taken impressive steps forward to positions of power. The pre-defined tournament is bound to be fierce since there are known and fresh non-core basketball nations contesting for the crown.
