Florida is a place with a lot of activity. This can be seen in the various events that represent different cultures and the overall energy of Florida. Whether it’s an art festival or a food fair, there’s always something going on to please both residents and tourists alike.

Many events in Florida are centered around its history and natural beauty. You can experience thrilling air shows or enchanting music festivals; even unique celebrations such as the Key West Fantasy Fest take place annually within the state. There are also many sports gatherings put on here, as well as outdoor activities which are ideal for those who enjoy being active.

Gasparilla Pirate Festival

Every January, Tampa becomes swarmed by pirates with its annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival. Created in 1904, this lively event consists of a massive parade led by Jose Gasparilla — a pirate ship! It wouldn’t be complete without some live music performances and plenty of food vendors scattered throughout town either; all ensuring that people ages 2 -102 have something fun to do during this time!

Fantasy Fest

In late October every year (specific dates vary), Fantasy Fest takes over Key West for ten days straight of nothing but costumes, parades, and parties galore! The creativity behind each outfit alone will amaze you more than anything else could possibly happen at this event…or any other one anywhere else around Halloween time really! Some highlights include elaborate competitions where people vie not only against themselves but also others who share their same level(s)…of over-the-topness when dressing up like somebody/something totally different from themselves; there is even a pet masquerade where little furry friends get involved too – how cute is that? Last but not least comes duval street march which sees thousands line streets watching amazing floats go by.
