London is absolutely magical. Each of the many annual events also has its charm. Some of them commemorate historical sites while others celebrate culture.

These events are vibrant, with dancing, live performances and music. Parades and boat races on the Thames form the centerpiece for most festivals in London.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks over the River Thames is one of the biggest and most anticipated celebrations in London.

Notting Hill Carnival

Taking place every August bank holiday weekend to mark the end of summer, this colourful 3-day celebration of Caribbean culture is held in West London. It is famous for its lively street parades, calypso music and fancy costumes which attract people from all over the world.

All Souls' Day

All Souls’ Day is observed in various parts of Europe including London where individuals visit churches and cemeteries as an act to honor their ancestors or loved ones who have died.

During this time it is customary to go to church services, light candles and put flowers on graves.

In London All Souls’ Day falls on November 2nd when many people attend church services before yesterday preparing by putting flowers and candles onto graves; this being a day more about reflecting than other cultures’ more elaborate rituals for remembering those who have died.

Europe holds silent moments during All Souls’ Day along with playing sad music which reflects how they remember their dead.
