Events in the Scotland

Scotland amazes because of its history, culture and natural beauty while vibrant events are key to all these. The country offers various activities which represent the deep-rooted heritage and contemporary charm from the foggy highlands to urban festivals in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Traditionally, this nation celebrates Burns Night in honor of Robert Burns who is a poet as well as spirited Highland Games where participants compete in strength based sports with Scottish origin. Also during every month of August, Edinburgh hosts world largest arts festival -The Fringe Festival- that comprises all types of performances ranging from theatre plays to comedy shows among others.

It is hard to choose which events we should publish. We are trying to stick to the main ones, but if you would like to see another event added, please let us know at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Additional Events in Scotland

Edinburgh Festival Fringe

During the whole month of August, people travel from different parts of the world to Edinburgh for The Fringe Festival which is an international platform for creative diversity. Artists have three weeks to showcase their skills at various venues including established theaters as well as makeshift stages dotted around town centers or even inside pubs. Theater groups bring together seasoned performers alongside emerging talents who explore different themes using drama; comedians make audiences laugh through jokes about politics while musicians entertain crowds through live performances featuring dance moves choreographed by professional dancers.

Hogmanay

Hogmanay is Scotland's traditional New Year celebration observed throughout the country with abundance. In particular it’s more lively in Edinburgh where there are torchlight processions followed by firework displays then street parties before ending up with a famous event called 'Loony Dook' whereby some brave hearts take plunge into freezing cold water of Forth on 1st January every year. This festival epitomizes Scottishness by fostering communal living coupled with hopefulness thus bidding farewell to old year through both meditation and fun-making.
