Additional Events in Seoul

Seoul Lantern Festival

Every November, along the Cheonggyecheon Stream, the Seoul Lantern Festival lights up thousands of colourful lanterns depicting various historical figures, traditional folklores or modern arts which represent its yearly changing themes. People can walk alongside the stream while enjoying these glowing pieces or even make their own lanterns themselves. It not only celebrates light and creativity but also nurtures community spirit as well as cultural pride.

Seoul Kimchi Making & Sharing Festival

Held every November at Seoul Plaza, this event celebrates kimjang – Korean tradition where people prepare kimchi for winter by preserving it over time. Thousands attend this festival every year including both locals and foreigners who come there specially for this occasion alone! Participants can learn how experts do it right from scratch during hands-on workshops besides being able to taste different kinds afterwards too; because sharing is caring after all isn’t it?
