Events in Taipei

Full of vibrant and lively events throughout the year, Taipei City is an incredibly dynamic place to visit. These festivals range from old traditions to new cultures. A great example of this is the Lantern Festival where the city is lit up by beautiful installations or the Dragon Boat Festival which sees thrilling races and noisy get-togethers.

The vibrant night markets are part of what sets Taipei apart, and in these busy street bazaars you can find delicacies from all over the country as well as crafts. The Taipei International Flora Exposition and the New Year’s Eve countdown at Taipei 101 every year are two events that must not be missed, these events attract visitors globally thus turning the city into a bustling hive of activity.

It is hard to choose which events we should publish. We are trying to stick to the main ones, but if you would like to see another event added, please let us know at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We add events on a continuous basis. So if you want to stay informed of the latest information, please bookmark this page.

Additional Events in Taipei

Taipei Jazz Festival

The Taipei Jazz Festival happens each October and never fails to delight music lovers of all kinds! For one week every year local musicians come together with some international acts in order transform different areas across town into jazz stages. With traditional as well as contemporary performances there really is something for everyone at this festival – even if you don't think you like jazz! Workshops, jam sessions and street performances also help create an immersive atmosphere so be sure not miss out on any of them if possible!

Taipei Hot Springs Season

Running from late October through early December; taking part in – or just soaking up some knowledge about – local customs surrounding restfulness can provide much needed relaxation while visiting busy urban areas like TWC or Taichung City where it’s usually quite crowded most times during weekdays but especially after school hours have ended since many people enjoy going out shopping or eating between these two places.. As such, we recommend considering attending one such festival which are primarily located within Beitou District followed by Wulai Districts for what they offer within their confines.
