Air India Summer 2025 Expansion

Air India Summer 2025 Expansion: More Flights, Fancier Planes, and a Few Temporary Goodbyes

If you thought Air India already had enough flights crisscrossing the globe, guess what? They disagree. So, for Summer 2025, they’re throwing even more planes into the mix, expanding across the UK, Europe, Asia, and Africa like an airline that just realized its frequent flyers have serious travel addiction.

Starting March 30, 2025, Air India is upping its flight game, rolling out aircraft upgrades, and—because every airline loves a plot twist—temporarily suspending a couple of routes. Buckle up; here’s what’s coming your way.

Need assistance with groups and incentives in Europe? Contact one of our fantastic DMCs.

More Flights, More Fun (or at Least More Legroom in Some Cases)

UK: Because One London Flight is Never Enough

  • Out of Delhi, the number of flights to London Heathrow is increasing from 21 to 24 each week, which is pretty insane.
  • Amritsar–Birmingham goes from 3 to 4 weekly flights, so more people can experience the thrill of explaining Punjabi food to confused Brits.
  • From Amritsar, the flights to London Gatwick are rising from 3 to 4 flights a week, which is great.
  • Ahmedabad–London Gatwick rises from 3 to 5 weekly flights. Yes, that’s two extra chances a week to land at Gatwick and immediately wish you were at Heathrow.

Europe: Why Not Viste Vienna or The Himalayas After All?

  • Delhi–Zurich now has 4 to 5 weekly flights, an increase of a single Swiss chocolate bar taken from duty-free.
  • Delhi–Vienna now operates 3 to 4 weekly flights, so there’s no reason not to visit Austria on weekends.

Asia: Bigger Planes, More Drama

  • Delhi–Seoul (Incheon) has increased flights from four to five a week. Perfect for anyone wanting to full K-drama.
  • Delhi–Hong Kong has been upgraded from an A321 to better seats on a Dreamliner with seven weekly flights. This means less crying babies and more free tickets.

Africa: Let's Visit More Inspiring Places Like Nairobi

  • Delhi–Nairobi  increased flights from 3 to 4 a week since everyone knows direct flights to safaris make everything more fun.
Fancier Planes, Finally!

Air India’s fleet upgrade is finally happening (no, really), and the first Boeing 787 with brand-new seats and updated entertainment systems rolls out in October 2025. The Boeing 777 fleet? Well, that’s getting pushed to early 2026—because if there’s one thing Boeing is consistent at, it’s delays.

A few routes are going on a temporary holiday:

Melbourne look away, Mumbai’s flight is suspended from March 30 until September 13, 2025. It would be unfair to assume that Australians travel that much don't take it personally.

Kochi has completely paused towards London Gatwick since March 30, without a return date available. But don’t panic. Amritsar, Ahmedabad, and Goa will continue to serve London Gatwick with 12 flights a week.

Air India Summer 2025 Expansion

So there you have it. More flights, shinier planes, and just a couple of unavoidable cancellations. If you’re flying Air India this summer, expect more options, a few new aircraft, and—if you’re really lucky—an entertainment system that actually works.

Kenya Airways Lands at Gatwick

Kenya Airways Lands at Gatwick: More UK Options, Same Kenyan Charm

Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport will start direct flights to London’s Gatwick Airport on July 02, 2025, three times every week. It’s about time that kenyan travellers got an incentive for traveling over the UK cloudy weather, so now Wednesday, Friday and Sunday can be filled with sunlight and ‘actual fun’ for them! After all, one doesn’t shy away from leaving Britain’s gloomy weather behind.

For those who are still up and living for the London Heathrow, fret not! It will not be a breakup because KQ is in fact flying to London Heathrow, which will allow a total of 10 weekly flights. It no longer will feel like you’re picking between KQ flights or delectable samosas.

Why Gatwick?

Because sometimes you need options, and Kenya Airways understands that variety is the spice of life (or at least the spice of travel). Adding Gatwick to their growing network isn’t just about convenience—it’s about giving you another way to dodge Heathrow’s infamous Terminal 5 queues.

CEO Allan Kilavuka explained, “We’re thrilled to offer our guests more ways to travel between the UK and Kenya.” Translation? Now you can pick a flight schedule that actually works with your life instead of battling for the last Heathrow slot like it’s the Hunger Games.

What’s in It for You?

Besides the obvious perks of skipping Nairobi traffic for direct flights? A lot:

  • Two UK Entry Points: Because sometimes you want Heathrow, and sometimes you just want to be closer to Brighton.
  • Convenient Flight Days: Mid-week escape? Friday night dash? Sunday chill? KQ’s got you covered.
  • Trade and Tourism Boosts: For those of you flying for business—or just to stock up on Kenyan coffee and giraffe selfies—this is big.
Strategic Moves and Big Dreams

Kenya Airways isn’t stopping here. According to Kilavuka, the UK is a huge market for trade, tourism, and connecting with the Kenyan diaspora. Gatwick is just the beginning—so don’t be surprised if your 2026 travel plans include even more direct routes to Nairobi.

So, What Are You Waiting For?

Put July 2nd, 2025 on your calendar and get ready to imagine those Diani beach sun sets or the vibrant markets in Nairobi, Also get prepared as Kenya Airways will be providing more and flexible options thus youll have an open invite to experience Kenya and its delicious in flight cuisines.

Let’s be honest, who enjoys long layovers? Look us up at Gatwick!

Nairobi Culinary Safari: Adventure Through Flavours

Nairobi Culinary Safari: Adventure Through Flavours

Get ready to spice things up in Nairobi Culinary Safari: Adventure Through Flavours! Perfect for FIT or incentive groups looking to swap conference snacks for a flavour explosion, this activity promises a deliciously funny mix of cooking challenges, local flavours, and culinary mischief that’ll have everyone laughing (and maybe crying from the chili!).

What’s on the Agenda?

Participants will kick off the day with a guided market tour at the vibrant Maasai Market, where haggling is an art form and the snacks are almost too beautiful to eat (almost). Here, you’ll learn the secrets of Kenyan cuisine while trying not to get distracted by all the colorful souvenirs. Spoiler alert: the handcrafted jewelry may just end up being a better souvenir than your cooking skills!

Cook-Off Challenge

After collecting your spices and ingredients (and maybe a few cute trinkets), it’s time for the Great Nairobi Cook-Off! Split into teams, you’ll face off in a series of culinary challenges, like preparing the perfect ugali or mastering the art of grilling nyama choma. Expect plenty of friendly rivalry and perhaps some accidental ingredient substitutions—like adding way too much chili and turning your dish into “Fire Alarm Surprise.”

Feeling brave? Participate in the “Blindfolded Taste Test,” where one team member will have to identify various Kenyan dishes while blindfolded. Watching them struggle to figure out if they’re eating sukuma wiki or just a really weird dessert is guaranteed to cause some serious belly laughs!

Feast and Celebrate

Once the cooking chaos has settled, it’s time to dig into your creations at a lively outdoor feast. As you enjoy your dishes, share stories of your cooking triumphs and disasters. Who accidentally set the grill on fire? Who mistook salt for sugar? Let’s just say, everyone will have a culinary horror story to tell.

And of course, no culinary adventure would be complete without a “Nairobi MasterChef” certificate for each participant, proving that you can cook under pressure (or just under a lot of laughter)!

Why This Activity?

The Culinary Safari isn’t just about food; it’s about bonding over flavours, laughter, and discovering that maybe your true talent lies in making a mess in the kitchen. So grab your aprons, channel your inner chef, and get ready for a fun-filled day of culinary adventure in Nairobi! Cheers to good food, great company, and the occasional burnt offering!
